There is speculation going around that The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries is sending off misleading information about biofuel, just so that they can have an attempt at stopping domestic energy production. A World Biofuels Industry Open Letter to OPEC states just that and has been sponsored by biofuel companies from Europe, The United States of America, Canada and Brazil. The letter states many points as to how the information that the OPEC is presenting is highly misleading and how the threat of ethanol to the OPEC is quite significant.
